Summer Festivals in Paris

Melt your ears, not your ice-cream

Ouch! There are so many festivals going on in and around Paris this year that you risk a burn-out.

So here’s a quick refreshing dip into what’s on this summer…

Paris Jazz Festival: on now – July 28th
Held in the Parc Floral at the Bois de Vincennes. Pay entry to the park, but the festival is free. Weekends only.

Les Etés de la danse: on now – July 27th
Classical ballet at the beautiful Théâtre du Châtelet. This year welcomes the Vienna national ballet.

City Sounds Festival: July 19-20
The brilliant music festival held by the 19th arrondissement. 2013’s theme is psych, garage and punk.

Paris Plages: July 20-August 18th
Chill out on a deckchair, sand in between your toes on the banks of the Seine. Free books to borrow, children’s pool, fountains, games and more.

Cinema en plein air: July 24-August 28th
Bring a picnic and a wine cooler for that bottle of rosé, and snuggle down on the grass for a month of open air free film screenings.

Rock en Seine: August 23-25th
Paris’ best yearly rock festival. Beg, borrow, steal tickets*.

Jazz à la Villette: Sept 3-15th
See out Summer with some saxophone…
