With Mayor Anne Hidalgo pushing to reduce pollution and pedestrianize central Paris as much as possible, the city’s cyclists are rubbing their hands together and stretching their calves in preparation for a bicycle take-over…
Join the revélotion© and celebrate the annual Fête du vélo from 4-5 June 2016.
Join a mass bike ride through the city, ending at the Invalides park for a picnic, watch a game of bike polo and fixed-wheel bike races in the grounds of a former hospital, or take out a Vélib (the city’s self-service bikes) and pedal around the Champs Elysées for free – with every kilometer earning money for charity.
With many areas closed off to cars, it’s a good opportunity to try out cycling in Paris, if the infamous Parisian traffic usually keeps you on two feet.
