Alphabet Resto Challenge: E !

Last night we ticked off E as part of our alphabet restaurant challenge by discovering Ethiopian cooking! Big success…

Le Négus is situated just up the road and is run by a husband and wife team, with a Jack Russell puppy to help sweeten the deal. The small restaurant is packed with knick-knacks, from traditional Ethiopian masks and flags to family photographs and scarves. It’s hard to know where to look, but it definitely gives the place character.

A shared tasting menu is the best way to discover what you like. Our conclusion: everything. All washed down with some local beer and strong Ethiopian coffee. The bill came out at 60€ for two, so it’s not on the cheap end, but it’s well worth a visit.

Highly recommended.

Le Négus, 52 Rue de Montreuil, 75011 Paris

Next up…where will we travel to for F (NO NOT FRANCE) ?
